Prendre les personnes en photo modifie leur comportement. Une séance photo peut être une performance en soi, les images sont simplement des traces de ces moments. La relation photographe / modèle est finalement très asymétrique. Dans le projet non réalisé Le photographe n’est pas un homme vicieux, j’avais prévu d’automatiser la puissance du photographe sur son modèle. Avec le modèle aveugle , j’assume totalement ce rôle dominant, jusqu’au point de priver le modèle de sa vue immédiate et de la remplacer par celle de la caméra. Les avantages de cette vision augmentée, avec ses couches d’informations supplémentaires de lumière, de focus et de zoom, est lié à la perte de contrôle de sa propre vue.
